What is GINMI?

GINMI is a photography curation service where works are chosen through anonymous review. The work itself is evaluated — not follower counts or fame. Works that pass review receive awards (GINMI Selected / GINMI Curated) and are published in the official gallery.

More about GINMIReview Criteria

Getting started

Sign up with your email address or a social account, then set up your profile (display name and username). During closed testing, an invitation password may be required to register.

In account settings you can manage age verification, visibility of sensitive works, and email notifications for review results (off by default). Sensitive works are hidden by default.

Uploading works

Upload from "My works" in your dashboard. The accepted file conditions (dimensions, size, formats) are always shown on the upload screen. The number of works you can upload is capped per membership type.

Images are resized to a fixed maximum size and quality on save, and the original file is not stored. Keep your originals. Location data (GPS) is removed on save.

Title and description are optional. Only the category is required.

Submission Guidelines

Submitting for review

Submit from the work's edit screen. Each submission costs one Review Ticket. Tickets can be exchanged for GINMI Points, which you earn by voting (exchange rates and limits are shown on the My works screen).

There are caps on how many works can be under review at once and per day. If you cannot submit, the reason is shown on the My works and edit screens. Once a work's result is finalized, the same work cannot be resubmitted.

Voting

Reviews are powered by members voting on each other's works. Works appear anonymously, and you vote Good (for selection), Poor (against), or Skip (no judgment). Every vote earns GINMI Points.

Occasionally a work is served for "GINMI" scoring — a detailed 8-item, 5-point evaluation. Completing it earns extra GINMI Points (it is optional; you can skip it and still vote).

How often your votes matched the final results is shown in your vote history as your Vote Agreement Rate, which adjusts the weight of your future votes.

How reviews work

Receiving results

Works that pass the Member Review become "GINMI Selected" and are published in the gallery. Curators then conduct the GINMI Review, and selected works are promoted to "GINMI Curated". Works not selected in the GINMI Review remain published as Selected.

Results arrive as in-app notifications (email notifications can be enabled in account settings). Awarded works receive a GINMI Certificate, downloadable from your dashboard. Only you can view your certificates.

Member vs. Pro member

All core features are available on the free Member plan. Pro members get larger quotas and extra features. Exact numbers may change — check each screen for current values.
