We are too grown up to dream over the rainbow

In Tokyo’s summer, sunlight reflecting off countless glass buildings sometimes creates fleeting rainbows on the ground. I captured this moment in Otemachi during rush hour, as a commuter’s feet stepped over a rainbow without noticing. To me, it was a beautiful, almost surreal sight. But busy workers around me, lost in their routines, never saw it. Like the song Somewhere Over the Rainbow, we dream of distant, unreachable rainbows. Yet adults who have stopped dreaming fail to see even the rainbow beneath their feet.
