Animal Bone
Skulls cannot be seen until one dies. If the form of an animal’s skull were superimposed on a human body still clad in flesh and blood, still harboring life, would not a subtle wavering arise at the boundary between life and death? The beauty that can only be glimpsed in the interstice between life and death. It is the space where the rawness of life we feel and the quiet intensity of death become ambiguous. I hope to leave this impression quietly in the hearts of those who encounter it.
